Step into the fascinating world of wax carving, an essential technique for creating intricate and detailed jewellery designs. TELL ME MORE....... This workshop is designed to provide you with foundational skills and tips to carve your very own wax models, which can later be cast into beautiful metal pieces. You'll explore different carving tools and techniques, learn about the properties of various waxes, and discover how to translate your creative visions into tangible forms. Ideal for both beginners and those looking to refine their skills, this session will empower you to bring your jewellery designs to life with precision and creativity. Once created, your wax masterpieces can be taken with you to arrange sending to a casting house independently, or we can send them on your behalf. There is also an option for us to polish and finish the items once they have been cast, there will be a charge for these services as well as the weight of the silver. PLEASE NOTE; The cost of the course does not include the price of the metal or for the casting fees, this will be charged on collection of your projects IS THIS CLASS RIGHT FOR ME?........ Whether you are a beginner or a jeweller in training, this course is a great class. Wax is lovely and soft to carve, so it is super gentle on the hands. This class is for over 18's only WHAT SHOULD I BRING?........ Please bring some lunch! We will take a short break in the middle of the day to refuel. We will also keep you topped up with refreshments and sweet treats throughout the day. A notebook is a good idea, as well as glasses if you need them THE IMPORTANT BIT......
