Silver & Keum-boo Pendant

Service Description

Create yourself a beautiful pendant with fused 24k gold detail. Such a beautiful combination of colours we are in love with! TELL ME MORE..... Keum-boo is an ancient technique from Korea, where you fuse gold foil to the surface of silver using heat and pressure. In this exciting class you will use texture plates to create a pattern onto the silvers surface, then cut it into shape using a saw or a disc cutter. We will solder on a link so it can be secured onto a chain. After a lunch break we will add the gold details to enhance your design before finishing, threading onto a chain and wearing home. IS THIS CLASS RIGHT FOR ME?........ Whether you are a beginner or a jeweller in training, this course is a great class. Please be aware that jewellery making can be tough on the hands, so if you suffer from hand problems it might be worth getting in touch to see if this is right for you. This class is for over 18's only WHAT SHOULD I BRING?........ Please bring some lunch! We will take a short break in the middle of the day to refuel. We will also keep you topped up with refreshments and sweet treats throughout the day. A notebook is a good idea, as well as glasses if you need them. We will also be using hot plates, which will make your cheeks a bit rosey, so it would be worth wearing layers in case you get a bit hot! THE IMPORTANT BIT...... Please ensure that long hair is tied back and that you do not wear floaty sleeves or open toe shoes. Your safety is our priority! Over 18's only This class runs from 10am-2pm, although the end time is approximate and may run over slightly Please note - We require a minimum attendance for this workshop to go ahead. If this is not met, we will offer you an alternative date or a refund We can't wait to see you!
