Discover the art of etching in this engaging workshop, where you'll learn to create intricate designs on metal surfaces. Etching allows you to add detailed patterns and textures to your jewellery, giving your pieces a unique and personalized touch. TELL ME MORE.... In this session, you'll explore various etching techniques, including resist methods and acid application, ensuring safe and effective results. You will experiment first on copper to perfect your skills before moving onto silver. Once your silver is etched, you will cut around the design and finish the pendant by adding a loop for the chain and polishing up. IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR ME? This is perfect for jewellers of all skill levels, this workshop will provide the foundational knowledge and hands-on experience needed to incorporate etching into your design repertoire. Come ready to experiment and leave with beautifully etched pieces that showcase your creativity and craftsmanship. This class is for over 18's only WHAT SHOULD I BRING?........ Please bring some lunch! We will take a short break in the middle of the day to refuel. We will also keep you topped up with refreshments and sweet treats throughout the day. A notebook is a good idea, as well as glasses if you need them THE IMPORTANT BIT...... Please ensure that long hair is tied back and that you do not wear floaty sleeves or open toe shoes.
