Embark on an exciting journey into the world of cuttlefish casting, a traditional technique that offers unique textures and patterns. TELL ME MORE....... In this hands-on class, you will learn how to carve designs into cuttlefish bone and pour molten metal to create one-of-a-kind jewellery pieces. Perfect for adding an organic touch to your creations, this class will enhance your skills and expand your jewellery design. IS THIS CLASS RIGHT FOR ME?........ Whether you are a total beginner or a jeweller in training, this course is a great one. It is experimental and takes time to master the skills, so it will be filled with practice. Please be aware that you will be using molten silver, and pouring it into the mould, so a steady hand is essential! This class is for over 18's only WHAT SHOULD I BRING?........ A notebook is a good idea if you're keen to make more, as well as glasses if you need them. No need to bring drinks unless you have something specific you enjoy. We will keep you topped up with tea, coffee, cordial and sweet treats throughout the day. THE IMPORTANT BIT...... Please ensure that long hair is tied back and that you do not wear floaty sleeves or open toe shoes. Your safety is our priority! This class runs from 10am-4pm, although the end time is approximate and may run over slightly Over 18's only Please note - We require a minimum attendance for this workshop to go ahead.
