Give a pop of colour to your jewellery collection whilst learning a new skill. You will be able to make a pair of drop earrings or a pendant during this class TELL ME MORE........ This experimental class gives you the perfect introduction to using vitreous enamels. You will spend the morning experimenting with the techniques and perfecting your new enamelling skills. This will involve applying the enamels to copper and heating in the kiln to create a beautiful smooth enamel. You will have a break for lunch, giving you time to think about the designs you would like to make. For the afternoon you will cut your shapes from silver and enamel these final pieces using the techniques you have mastered in the morning. These will be finished and polished ready for you to wear home. IS THIS CLASS RIGHT FOR ME?........ Whether you are a total beginner or a jeweller in training, this course is a great one. It is a little more involved than some of our other classes so good concentration and a steady hand will help you. Please be aware that jewellery making can be tough on the hands, so if you suffer from hand problems it might be worth getting in touch to see if this is right for you. This class is for over 18's only WHAT SHOULD I BRING?........ Please bring some lunch! We will take a short break in the middle of the day to refuel. We will also keep you topped up with refreshments and sweet treats throughout the day. A notebook is a good idea, as well as glasses if you need them THE IMPORTANT BIT...... Please ensure that long hair is tied back and that you do not wear floaty sleeves or open toe shoes. Your safety is our priority! This class runs from 10am-3.30pm, although the end time is approximate and may run over slightly Please note - We require a minimum attendance for this workshop to go ahead.
