Welcome to our own 'jewellery cabin style' Christmas wreath class This one will last a lifetime as well as giving something back. 20% of the class price will be donated to the Isle of Wight Youth Trust, a wonderful charity helping Island children. TELL ME MORE........ Get in the Christmas spirit by creating a beautiful copper Christmas Wreath. To start with you will hand cut your leaves from fine copper sheet and create detail onto the surface, making each leaf individual. These will then be threaded onto copper wires, bunched together, and wrapped around a 10 inch wreath ring. This can be to your design, so you can add just a small cluster of leaves, or have them all the way around the ring. Once the work is complete you can keep the copper fresh and shiny, or heat treat the surface to create deeper colours and tones, giving a natural autumnal feel. IS THIS CLASS RIGHT FOR ME?........ Whether you are a total beginner or a jeweller in training, this course is a great one. Please be aware that jewellery making can be tough on the hands, so if you suffer from hand problems it might be worth getting in touch to see if this is right for you. This class is for over 16's only WHAT SHOULD I BRING?........ Please bring some lunch. We will take a short break at lunchtime to refuel. Please bring glasses if you need them. No need to bring drinks unless you have something specific you enjoy. We will keep you topped up with tea, coffee, cordial and sweet treats throughout the day, and of course mince pies!! THE IMPORTANT BIT...... Please ensure that long hair is tied back and that you do not wear floaty sleeves or open toe shoes. Your safety is our priority! This class runs from 10am-3pm, although the end time is approximate and may run over slightly Over 16's only Please note - We require a minimum attendance for this workshop to go ahead.
