Service Description

Our 4 Week Silver jewellery course, a the best way to begin your jewellery making journey or develop your current skills by enhancing your knowledge. Have you been to some of our classes and wondered 'what can I do next?' This course is designed with you in mind. We want to share our knowledge & skills with you, we will cover the fundamentals of jewellery making, enablling you to design & create bespoke jewellery alongside like minded people. TELL ME MORE...... The first session will be covering the fundamentals of jewellery making , with a focus on the theory of soldering and piercing practice ,giving you the skills and understanding you will need to design and create the two projects. The pendant will be hand pierced to a shape of your choice from sheet silver and copper or brass. You will hand-make a setting to house a cabochon stone before soldering it to your pendant. This will all be polished/finished before setting the stone and popping it onto a chain. Your next project will be the silver ring, using a rectangular making sure it is the perfect size. Once made you can add silver details such as wraps and granulation, learning intricate soldering techniques. These projects are designed to show you plenty of techniques that can help you with future making and inspire you to experiment and get lost in a world that we love!! IS THIS CLASS RIGHT FOR ME?........ Are you a beginner that loves jewellery & you are curious about how it is made? Or have you made something with us & felt so proud that you wanna do it all over again? Then YES!! This class is for over 18's only WHAT SHOULD I BRING?........ A notebook is a good idea if you're keen to make notes, as well as glasses if you need them. No need to bring drinks unless you have something specific you enjoy. We will keep you topped up with tea, coffee, cordial and sweet treats throughout the sessions. THE IMPORTANT BIT...... Sessions will run from 10am-1pm on 4 consecutive Thursdays Please ensure that long hair is tied back and that you do not wear floaty sleeves or open toe shoes. Your safety is our priority!
