Private booking for Vicky & co, making ssilver and sea glass/ cabochon stone pendants 10am-4pm Using Sea glass found on the Islands beaches or a cabochon semi precious gemstone, you will learn how to set them in silver to create a beautiful natural treasure to wear as a pendant. A lovely day with lots of technical skills to learn. TELL ME MORE...... The day begins with selecting your sea glass or cabochon stone. There are lots of options so this process is always a tricky one!! Equally if you have any of your own treasured sea glass you would like to use please bring it with you. You will carefully create a setting by shaping bezel wire to the shape of your selected piece learning intricate soldering techniques to attach it to the backing. You can choose the shape of your background, as well as the texture of the silver, making each piece individual. Once the pendant is formed and finished you will set the sea glass/stone to keep it safe. WHAT SHOULD I BRING?........ Please bring some lunch! We will take a short break in the middle of the day to refuel. We will also keep you topped up with refreshments and sweet treats throughout the day. A notebook is a good idea, as well as glasses if you need them. If you would like to use a piece of your own sea glass please bring a selection with you. For this style of setting they would need to be flatter pieces, no thicker than 5mm. THE IMPORTANT BIT...... Please ensure that long hair is tied back and that you do not wear floaty sleeves or open toe shoes. Your safety is our priority!
